Troy
Two sisters in the last year of the Trojan war, which had lasted for a good part of their short lives. Xanthe, in the service of Hector's wife, Andromache, and Marpessa, in the service of Helen. Here's the scoop: Xanthe loves a soldier, Alastor. Xanthe's childhood friend, Iason, loves Xanthe, and their friend, Polyxena, loves Iason. Now, Alastor's in love with the other sister, Marpessa, and eventually, Marpessa drops her shield for this handsome man. But the war is ending, and with that comes the deaths of the great warriors, Achilles, Hector, and Paris, and with their deaths comes turmoil and ultimately, the Trojan's fall from grace.
Now read that, and tell me which girl won't like this book? I loved it, it was filled with love and tragedy, and it's surprisingly very accurate to the history, which I love. It was a book I couldn't put down, that's all I can say!! Five stars out of five, and recommended to any one, though mature content is included, viewer discretion is advised.
